How We Work
From Complex Requirements to Controlled Execution
Energy and industrial projects rarely fail because of a lack of ambition. They fail because critical technical, commercial or execution decisions are made too early, based on incomplete information or unrealistic assumptions.
PRIOS brings engineering, global sourcing, commercial structuring and project execution together before capital is committed.
We help clients determine what is technically feasible, commercially viable and realistically executable – and then structure the team, equipment and delivery model required to make it happen.
The earlier PRIOS is involved, the more options remain available.
We Start with the Requirement – Not with the Equipment
Our work begins with the client’s actual objective.
We define the required capacity, output, product, fuel or feedstock, site conditions, schedule, commercial priorities and operating concept before selecting equipment or approaching suppliers.
This prevents projects from being built around an available machine, an incomplete quotation or a solution that does not fit the intended location.
PRIOS does not promote one standard technology or execution model. Depending on the project, the right solution may involve:
- New equipment from established manufacturers
- Available production slots or surplus equipment
- Pre-owned power plants or process facilities
- Modular and prefabricated process systems
- Plant relocation and adaptation
- Phased project development
- A combination of new and existing equipment
The solution follows the project – not the other way around.
Our Project Approach
1. Align the Requirement
We establish what the project must achieve and which conditions cannot be compromised.
This includes capacity, performance, fuel or feedstock, location, utilities, emissions requirements, schedule, budget framework and commercial objectives.
Outcome: A clear project basis and defined decision criteria.
2. Test the Reality
We examine the assumptions that determine whether the project can actually work.
Depending on the assignment, this may include:
- Technology and equipment availability
- Fuel, feedstock and utility conditions
- Grid or product-offtake requirements
- Site and infrastructure constraints
- Equipment condition and remaining life
- OEM and spare-parts support
- Transportation and heavy-lift logistics
- Regulatory and environmental requirements
- Capital cost, schedule and principal risks
If an option is not technically or commercially credible, we say so before further capital and time are committed.
Outcome: A realistic go, no-go or redirect decision.
3. Structure the Right Project Route
Once the fundamentals are clear, PRIOS develops the most suitable execution strategy.
We compare conventional procurement, modular construction, available equipment, plant relocation and hybrid solutions. We define the principal scope, interfaces, responsibilities, commercial structure and implementation sequence.
Where specialist knowledge is required, PRIOS assembles and coordinates the appropriate engineers, manufacturers, contractors, logistics providers and technical experts.
Outcome: A project structure that can be priced, contracted and executed.
4. Secure Equipment, Technology and Partners
PRIOS identifies suitable equipment, technologies and project partners through its international network and direct market access.
We coordinate technical enquiries, evaluate proposals, review equipment and documentation, support inspections and clarify the commercial basis before binding commitments are made.
Our role may include:
- Global equipment and technology sourcing
- Technical and commercial bid evaluation
- Plant and equipment assessment
- Supplier and contractor qualification
- Asset valuation
- Contract and transaction structuring
- Commercial negotiation
- Purchase, resale or owner-side representation
Outcome: The right solution under a clearly defined technical and commercial framework.
5. Control the Interfaces
Complex projects involve multiple companies, disciplines and contractual boundaries. Problems frequently arise between individual scopes rather than within them.
PRIOS manages these interfaces from the client’s perspective.
We coordinate engineering, suppliers, contractors, dismantling teams, logistics providers and site activities while maintaining continuity between the original project assumptions and actual execution.
Outcome: Fewer gaps, clearer accountability and controlled project delivery.
6. Stay Through Execution
Our involvement does not have to end when equipment is purchased or contracts are signed.
PRIOS can continue through:
- Owner’s engineering
- Project and contract management
- Manufacturing and progress monitoring
- Dismantling and preservation
- Packing and international logistics
- Site integration
- Installation and reinstallation
- Commissioning and performance verification
This continuity protects the original technical and commercial objectives throughout implementation.
Outcome: A managed transition from project concept to operating capacity.
Built Around the Project
PRIOS is not limited to a fixed catalogue of services or equipment.
Some clients require an independent assessment before making an investment decision. Others need a specific power plant, turbine, process unit or modular production system. Asset owners may require a structured sale and dismantling strategy. Developers may need an entire project route created around a difficult site, urgent schedule or unconventional requirement.
Our role is defined by the project and the outcome required.
We can act as:
- Technical and commercial advisor
- Owner’s engineer
- Project developer
- Equipment and technology sourcing partner
- Buyer or reseller of industrial assets
- Transaction and execution manager
- Coordinator of specialised international project teams
When to Involve PRIOS
Speak with us when:
- Conventional OEM delivery schedules do not meet the project timeline
- A power or process project requires a fast-track solution
- Available equipment must be identified and technically qualified
- A pre-owned plant is being considered for relocation
- A modular solution may reduce remote-site construction
- An industrial asset must be assessed, sold or dismantled
- Technical, commercial and logistical interfaces are unclear
- Several suppliers offer solutions that are difficult to compare
- The project needs an experienced owner-side structure
- A non-standard requirement does not fit conventional procurement routes
Waiting until equipment has been selected or contractual commitments have been made reduces the available options and makes corrections significantly more expensive.
What Clients Gain
PRIOS provides one commercially focused interface across engineering, equipment, transactions and execution.
Our clients gain:
- Independent technical and commercial judgment
- Access to international equipment and project markets
- Early identification of critical risks
- Realistic cost and schedule expectations
- Flexible project and transaction structures
- Continuity from first assessment through execution
- A partner focused on the success of the complete project
Bring Us the Requirement
You do not need to arrive with a finished technical specification.
Bring us the objective, the site, the required capacity, the commercial challenge or the asset under consideration. We will determine what information is missing, which options are realistic and how the project should move forward.
Start with a confidential project review.
